Evita was born and raised in Portland, graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in school, Evita interned at KOIN 6 News, the CBS affiliate in Portland. She also reported and produced for UO’s student-run broadcasts, Duck TV News and Oregon News.
An Oregon native, Evita is excited to be telling stories in her home state.
When she’s not chasing stories, Evita loves trying new foods, movies and hanging out with her dog.

Coos County Commissioner Melissa Cribbins said the closure is going to leave a huge dent in the community.
The list was published on the group’s Facebook page last week. There are about 100 business owners listed.
Public health officials in both Douglas and Coos counties said they hope to finish group 1A in the next few weeks.

As of now, there have been 683 people vaccinated for COVID-19 in Douglas County.
Coos Health and Wellness assistant director Eric Gleason said he expected their time in “high risk” to be short-lived because their numbers have been consistently high for weeks.
