Corvallis, Ore. -- Well, it was a tough Saturday for the state of Oregon. The Ducks lost to the Utah Utes and the Beavers could not get it down against the Stanford Cardinal. Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith spoke to the media after the game and discussed the team’s overall performance. Specifically, he was disappointed with the effort from the defense. Stanford, in the first half alone, had over 400 total yards on offense. Quarterback KJ Costello and tight end Colby Parkinson connected for four touchdowns. Smith also acknowledged that the Oregon State offense needed to perform better. With no points in the second half, the Beavers struggled to get any momentum. OSU will try to get its third win of the season next week against the Washington Huskies.
