SALT LAKE CITY – Sabrina Ionescu posted her ninth career triple-double and Maite Cazorla scored 21 points as the No. 7 ranked Oregon women's basketball team defeated Utah, 84-68, on Sunday afternoon at the Huntsman Center.

The Ducks (20-3, 9-1 Pac-12) remain in first place with the win, ahead of UCLA and Stanford in second place. The Cardinal visit Eugene next Sunday for an ESPN2 televised game.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Oregon jumped out to a big early lead at Utah. The Ducks built up a 16-2 lead before Utah hit its first basket with 4:37 left in the quarter. Oregon led by as much as 19 points in the first but the Utes ended the quarter on a 13-2 run keyed by three three-pointers and Oregon owned a 25-17 lead going to the second.

Utah cut the Oregon lead to as little as three at two occasions in the second quarter but the Ducks used a 10-0 run to jump back in front by double digits. Utah did not hit a field goal over the final 6:05 of the second quarter but did get to the line and knocked down five free throws. Oregon took a 43-32 lead into halftime with Satou Sabally leading the way with 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting. Sabally was also 4-of-4 at the line. Sabrina Ionescu went just 3-of-10 shooting in the first half but had nine points, five rebounds and seven assists at the break.

Maite Cazorla took over in the third quarter, scoring 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Cazorla had 10 of Oregon's last 11 third quarter points as the Ducks took a 64-53 lead into the fourth quarter.

Oregon continued to pull away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Utah 20-15 in the final 10 minutes before winning, 84-68.

TRIPLE-DOUBLE: Sabrina Ionescu tallied her ninth career triple-double and fifth of the season with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. She also had a triple-double against Utah at home last season. Cazorla tallied 13 points in the third quarter alone. Satou Sabally scored 15 points and Ruthy Hebard added 15 points as well. The Ducks shot 55 percent from the floor and 67 percent (10-of-15) from three-point range.

MOUNTAIN SWEEP: The Ducks swept the mountain schools road trip for the second time in three seasons after also defeating Colorado on Friday.

UP NEXT: Oregon returns home to host the Bay Area schools next week. Cal visits Matthew Knight Arena on Friday and Stanford visits on Sunday for an ESPN2 televised game.
