Oregon football cancels Hillsboro practice

The team has decided to cancel it's open practice in Hillsboro following the Coronavirus situation.

EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon football head coach Mario Cristobal gave a statement amid the coronavirus situation following the team's spring practice on Thursday.

"Obviously making sure we are aware of all the developments are going on and making sure of player safety and everything else that goes with it is at the forefront of our decision, Cristobal said. "The goal now is to meet with the administration and make sure to take the next steps necessary to make sure that our student-athletes are taken care of and their health and welfare is at the forefront of our decisions."

The team canceled its open practice in Hillsboro on Saturday.
