Corvallis, OR. -- Last year in the Pac-12 Tournament, Oregon State women’s basketball was a one-and-done team after losing to Arizona State in the quarterfinals. This year in Las Vegas, the Beavers hope to make that a distant memory.

“Last year was a really tough experience,” said Oregon State guard Mikayla Pivec. “After we lost there was a lot of time to think about what happened and reflect on the good and the bad. But this year, we want to have an extended stay in Vegas, come out strong in the beginning and have no regrets.”

OSU is a No. 3 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament and will play the winner of No. 11 Washington and No. 6 Utah on Friday night in the quarterfinals. Given the challenges in conference play over the past few weeks, the Beavers feel more prepared than ever to meet expectations in Las Vegas.

“The last three weeks, in particular, have really tested us in a way that's prepared us,” said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. “They have felt like postseason games. All of them have. Four of our last five games have come down to the final minute and we won all four of those by making plays on both ends of the floor. I feel like we've developed where we have such a strong foundation. Great things can happen to this team.”

Oregon State stars Destiny Slocum and Mikayla Pivec have been named to the All-Pac-12 team. All eyes will be on the dynamic duo this weekend.
