EUGENE, Ore. --  Oregon women's basketball shot 14-24 from three-point range in the 95-56 win over South Dakota State.

The Ducks were given a boost off the bench from freshman Holly Winterburn who scored 17 points in the winning effort.

"I just felt I was taking the right shots," Winterburn said. "We shoot everyday so when we're in rhythm, like KG (Kelly Graves) says, if it's a rhythm shot it doesn't matter where the defense is just take it. They went in today."

Ruthy Hebard led the Ducks with 22 points on 11-15 shooting.

Oregon was also relentless on the defensive end forcing 13 turnovers while holding the Jackrabbits to 33.3 percent shooting.

"I thought this was a statement game," Graves said. "We were feeling a little bit sorry for ourselves coming back. We shouldn't have because we were the ones that made that bed that we slept in. It wasn't pretty. I think they decided  this is not going to happen again."

Oregon improves to 7-1 overall and will on Long Beach State on Saturday.
