CORAVLLIS, Ore. (AP) -- Taylor Jones had 16 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks to lead No. 3 Oregon State to a 69-50 victory over Cal State Bakersfield on Sunday.
Oregon State (12-0) concluded its non-conference schedule unbeaten and is off to its best start in school history.
The Beavers took control with a 9-0 run to open the second quarter, extending the lead to 25-12. They outscored Cal State Bakersfield 18-2 in the second quarter and led 34-14 at the break behind Jones' 10 points nine rebounds and three blocks.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) -- Ethan Thompson scored a career-high 25 points to lead Oregon State to an 83-66 victory over North Dakota. Thompson, a 6-foot-5 junior guard, scored 11 points in the first half, including three 3-pointers, helping the Beavers take a 36-28 lead at the break. North Dakota cut the lead to 50-45 on a 3-pointer from De'Sean Allen-Eikens, but would get no closer. Thompson's free throws extended the Beavers' largest lead to 65-49 with 9:09 remaining, and culminated a 13-2 run. Tres Tinkle, who leads the Beavers in scoring and rebounding, added 16 points and seven boards.
Duarte tallies 31 points in Ducks’ win over Alabama State
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Chris Duarte scored a season-high 31 points and No. 6 Oregon pounded Alabama State 98-59 in its final tuneup before Pac-12 play. The Ducks are the conference favorites and will open league play Thursday at Colorado riding a five-game winning streak. They shot 59% and forced 20 turnovers leading to 32 points against the road-weary Hornets. Duarte led four Oregon players with at least 10 points. Anthony Mathis had 15, Addison Patterson had 12 and Will Richardson added 10. Brandon Battle had 14 points to lead Alabama State, which has played all 13 of its games away from home.
