Trevor Larnach Selected By Minnesota (6/4/18)

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State outfielder Trevor Larnach has been selected in the first round, 20th overall by the Minnesota Twins in the 2018 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

Larnach, who hails from Pleasant Hill, Calif., has played in 146 career games for the Beavers, batting .298 with 30 doubles, 20 home runs and 116 RBI with 91 walks. This season, he’s batting .327 with 13 doubles, 17 home runs and 65 RBI, which ranks second in the Pac-12.

The junior was recently named to the Corvallis Regional All-Tournament Team, and has been named an All-American by both Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball. He’s been recognized by the Pac-12 Conference twice during his career, first as an honorable mention selection in 2017, and first team in 2018.

Larnach is the fifth Oregon State player to be taken by the Twins, and the first since Caleb Hamilton in the 23rd round in 2016.
