Race Recap: Cottage Grove and Willamette Speedways, August 4

Thins are heating up at Cottage Grove and Willamette Speedways.

Eugene, OR -- It was perfect racing weather over the weekend for Cottage Grove and Willamette Speedways. 

Saturday's Summer Thunder Sprint Series saw Tony Gualda take first in the 360 main event. He finished with a time of 27:22.681 and a race-best lap of 12.976. Gualda beat out second-place finisher Seth Bergman by 1.512 seconds. Colton Heath ended the race in third. 

Another intense race was the Hornets Main Event which saw Brad Moffett outlast Burnie Bryant by 0.421 seconds. Moffett took first while Bryant had the best lap of the race at 17.617. Mark Milligan came in third place. 

At Willamette Speedway, Justin Evans took first in the Street Stocks main event. Evans barely edged out McKenzie Lockhart by 0.504 seconds. Vahn Stone was victorious in the Super Sports main event. Stone finished 1.070 seconds ahead of Robert Mercer. Mike Betker came in third.
