Wanted man arrested in Eugene

The man has been arrested on more than one occasion in the past year.

EUGENE, Ore. – A man was arrested on Tuesday, charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Eugene Police said an officer was patrolling the area of the Washington Jefferson Park at about 2 p.m. when she spotted Olallie Stahl-Wellborn, 20, who was wanted on multiple warrants.

The man reportedly committed several traffic violations on his bike, and the officer stopped him. Police said Stahl-Wellborn tried to get away, but the officer caught up to him and pulled him to the ground. He then resisted arrest, they said.

Another officer arrived on scene and helped take the suspect into custody.

Police said they found a BB gun in the man’s pocket and a loaded flare gun with a live shotgun shell in another. Officers also reportedly found a credit card belonging to the victim of a vehicle break-in, bolt cutters and what appeared to be a blow torch.

Stahl-Wellborn was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, felon in possession of a firearm resisting arrest, third-degree escape, and possession of burglary tools and was also lodged in jail on several warrants.
