EUGENE, Ore. -- The 12-foot Wall of Honor Memorial at Skinner Butte Park in Eugene has been vandalized with graffiti.

The graffiti writing says, "I refuse to glorify imperialism."

This comes just one day before Memorial Day.

The memorial wall is inscribed with the names of 451 Lane County veterans who were killed fighting in wars from World War I through Operation Desert Storm.

It was dedicated on May 30, 1996 and once again on September 11, 2010.

This is a developing story.
