Wait for passports may be lengthy in Corvallis

The Benton County Clerk's Office said they are an Official Passport Acceptance Facility.

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- If you plan on traveling abroad, you need to allow plenty of time to process your passport.

The Benton County Clerk's Office said they are an Official Passport Acceptance Facility.

Staff said they have been busier than usual. The service takes up to six weeks, but if you expedite your services it will only takes three weeks.

You can do all of this through the Clerk's Office. They said they can take your photo verify your documents and your identification.

"The requirements around security and travel are ever changing and having a passport is the surest way of being able to travel without any impediment," said Jeff Doty, with Benton County.


The Clerk's Office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the basement of the Benton County Courthouse, in Corvallis.
