WATCH: Search for killer cougar underway near Mount Hood

Wildlife officials are on horseback and using search dogs in an effort to find a cougar that recently killed a hiker near Mount Hood.

WELCHES, Ore. -- Search crews hit the trails Thursday morning near Mount Hood looking for a cougar that they said killed a Greshman woman. 

New video from our news partner, KGW, shows search dogs and crews on horseback in the area of Hunchback Trail in Welches. That's where the body of Diana Bober was recently discovered. Search crews said the cougar will be euthanized if it's found.

Bober was reported missing on Aug. 29. 

According to the medical examiner's office, Bober's injuries were consistent with a cougar attack.
