VENETA, Ore. – Detectives are asking for the public’s help after several businesses in the Veneta area have been targeted.

A group of young people is suspected of burglarizing three businesses, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office said.

On July 17, the Veneta Smoke Shop and DS Mart were burglarized, and on July 21, Mr. Nice Guy Dispensary was also burglarized.

In each burglary, the suspects broke out windows and left with thousands of dollars in merchandise.

Investigators believe the group includes four to six people in their teens or early 20s. They are believed to be connected to recent burglaries in the Eugene-Springfield area as well, authorities said.

Video surveillance is being collected and reviewed. In one video, the suspects are seen leaving in what appears to be a light-colored minivan, the sheriff’s office said.

If you have any information, call 541-682-4150, press 1, and refer to case #20-4720, #20-4721, and #20-4808.
