USPS driver dies in rollover crash near Corvallis

CORVALLIS, Ore. – A United States Postal Service driver died in a single-vehicle rollover crash south of Corvallis on Monday.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the scene at about 2:15 p.m.

Ashley Kropf, 23, of Halsey was delivering mail on Llewellyn Road one mile west of Highway 99W. For unknown reasons, the 1990 Nissan passenger-vehicle left the road and rolled.

There is no indication alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, deputies said.

Llewellyn Road was closed for about five hours as authorities investigated.
