UO: 22 more students, 1 employee positive for COVID-19

While the students all live off campus, university officials confirmed the employee had been on campus within the past 14 days.

EUGENE, Ore. – A total of 23 new COVID-19 cases have been tied to the University of Oregon.

According to the university’s website, 22 students and one employee were determined to be positive COVID-19 cases on Oct. 6.

While the students all live off campus, university officials confirmed the employee had been on campus within the past two weeks. Those who had contact with the case will be contacted by Lane County Public Health.

The university has reportedly followed cleaning protocols for occupied spaces.
