UCC remembers shooting victims six years later

Floral arrangements serving as a tribute to survivors and those lost are on display around the campus flag pole from sunrise to sunset.

ROSEBURG, Ore. – Umpqua Community College held its Annual Day of Remembrance to reflect on the horrific events of Oct. 1, 2015, when a gunman killed eight students and one teacher.

Floral arrangements serving as a tribute to survivors and those lost are on display around the campus flag pole from sunrise to sunset.

During a ceremony, school officials read the names of those who were lost and rang a bell of remembrance.

The college holds similar events every Oct. 1.
