On Tuesday police found Whitehurst in his car on Northwest Civil Bend Avenue, along with Tessa Smithey, 20, of Sutherlin. Police said they were both in possession of heroin.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Whitehurst's home and found brown powder heroin known as "Gunpowder," a small amount white powder known as "China White," along with methamphetamine, cocaine, a loaded handgun and large amounts of cash.

Whitehurst's home is within 1,000 feet of McGovern Elementary school.
