SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Two employees with Eugene-Springfield Fire have tested positive for COVID-19, Springfield city officials say.
It's a case of household spread, according to a city spokeswoman.
One of the staff members is a firefighter assigned to Station 16 in Thurston and the other is a member of the administrative staff.
Officials said personal protective equipment was worn in all interactions with the public and there is limited to no risk to the general public.
Contact tracing has been completed, and a total of 13 people -- including the two positive cases -- have been quarantined as a precaution. Not all of the people in quarantine are assigned to Station 16.
Lane County Public Health is collaborating with the district to address the cases.
