Two Eugene Public Library services to restart

EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene Public Library has restarted two additional services that have been suspended since March 14.

They include the Free Summer Reading program and outside book returns.

Free Summer Reading books for children and teens to keep are now available for pick up at the Downtown Library, Bethel Branch, and Sheldon Branch from Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

And outside book returns are now open for limited hours at all three Eugene Public Library locations. Items can be returned to the Downtown Library Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. or to the Bethel and Sheldon Branches Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Community members are encouraged to begin returning items now if possible. Although all currently loaned items are not due until mid-September, returning them earlier will make them available for others to enjoy and help space out the library’s workflow of processing returns.
