EUGENE, Ore. -- A truck crashed into the Vintage Underground garage in Eugene on Wednesday.
Police arrested David Cervantes-Savina, 26, of Springfield after the incident.
It started at about 2:30 a.m. when officers responded to a report that a vehicle missing a tire was sending sparks flying in the area of Garfield Street and West 7th Avenue.
The Vintage Underground, 630 Garfield Street, reported a truck crashed into their garage, hit equipment inside and caused a significant amount of property damage. They said the truck drove off, stopping at apartments at 1459 City View St.
An officer responded to the apartments and found Cervantes-Savina outside the truck searching for items inside it, police said. He reportedly appeared to be intoxicated and was identified as the driver. Police added he had a warrant for his arrest.
Cervantes-Savina was taken to the Lane County Jail for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, hit-and-run with property damage and the warrant.
