Truck caught fire in Cottage Grove

Officials say the truck was a total loss and that the fire started in the engine compartment.

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. -- A Ford truck caught fire around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday evening. This happened on the Southbound off-ramp coming from Interstate 5 into Cottage Grove. 

Witnesses tell KEZI 9 News that there was at least one person in the truck. 

The truck was fully engulfed in flames and witnesses say it happened within minutes. 

Officials tell us that fire crews were able to put it out quickly once they got to the scene.
