Three GAPS employees get COVID-19

The cases are isolated and involve three separate schools, Superintendent Melissa Goff said.

ALBANY, Ore. – Three staff members with Greater Albany Public Schools have been diagnosed with COVID-19, Superintendent Melissa Goff said.

Goff said they are single isolated cases at Calapooia Middle School, Oak Grove Elementary School and Tangent Elementary School.

School staff are working with Linn County Public Health to address the situation.

Goff said the following steps have been taken:

Rapid identification and notification of close contacts
Closure of rooms and spaces where the infected person has been on campus
Deep cleaning of rooms and spaces involved
