MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. – Deputies are investigating a threat that was found at South Umpqua High School in Myrtle Creek.
Principal Kristi McGree sent a letter to parents saying the message read “4/20 You all die.” Deputies said it was found Thursday in a girl’s bathroom.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office conducted several issues and said they don’t believe there is a credible threat.
McGree said she spoke with the superintendent and decided classes would continue as planned on Friday with an increased law enforcement presence. Counselors will also be available to students.
Any parents opting to keep students home are asked to notify the front office.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
