Sweet Home man accused of stabbing teen

Police responded to the stabbing incident around 12:40 p.m. on the 800 block of 14th Avenue in Upper Sankey Park.

SWEET HOME, Ore. -- A man was arrested this weekend in connection to the stabbing of an 18-year-old.

Police say they took Jock Edwards, 32, into custody on Sunday. They identified the victim as William Salyer-Bowen.

At about 12:40 p.m., officers responded to the stabbing incident on the 800 block of 14th Avenue in Upper Sankey Park.

Salyer-Bowen was transported to Sweet Home Fire Department by a witness and then later transported to Corvallis Good Samaritan Hospital where he was treated and later released.

Police said Edwards is lodged in the Linn County Jail for first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
