Sutherlin man accused of selling meth, heroin near school

SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- A Sutherlin man is in jail, accused of selling drugs near a school.

The Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team said Eric Nelson, 51, was arrested Aug. 15.

Detectives contacted him in the 400 block of North Comstock Road and said they found a large amount of methamphetamine, heroin and other drug paraphernalia at his home.

In total, detectives said they seized more than 1.3 pounds of meth and 3.5 ounces of heroin.

The home is near the West Intermediate School, 531 North Comstock Road.

Nelson was taken to the Douglas County Jail. He faces charges of unlawful possession of meth and heroin, unlawful delivery of meth and heroin and unlawful delivery of meth and heroin within 1,000 feet of a school.
