Suspect arrested in Eugene murder

EUGENE, Ore. – A man has been arrested, accused of murder.

Police responded to a home in the 400 block of East 46th Avenue just before 5 p.m. on Nov. 3.

George Alvergue, 44, was taken into custody at the location. He was taken to the Lane County Jail on a murder charge.

Court documents identify the victim as Florence Alvergue, 78.

The investigation is ongoing.
