VENETA, Ore. -- Donations were coming in all weekend outside Ray's Food Place in Veneta.

Lt. Tressa Miller said there was a great turn out. They raised more than $35,000 along with 55 boxes of food and two grocery-sized bags full of toys.

Lane Fire Authority has hosted its annual Stuff the Truck event for about 30 years.

The donations will be given to families who are in need this holiday season.

There is a barrel set up at the fire station in Veneta for those who are still wanting to donate.

Miller said those in need can go to the Veneta-Fern Ridge Chamber of Commerce, the pharmacy, or Ray’s to get an application to request the food they need.
