ROSEBURG, Ore. - A study found Oregon ranks third highest among alcohol related deaths in the nation.

The study, called "Pain the Nation", found Oregon's ranking could come from the number of distilleries, wineries, and breweries in the state.

Officials from Douglas County Public Health Network said they agreed with that.

They said they believe the concentration of alcohol distributors in the state does link to the high death rate.

They also added a large percentage of death is related to binge drinking.
