EUGENE, Ore.--A new app is available for Eugene residents on both iOS and Android app stores.
PeaceHealth teamed up with the Eugene Marathon to launch the Strides for Social Justice app. The app is free and is designed to be inclusive and family friendly, and it will engage and educate participants.
Users will be able to learn about the contributions, achievements and milestones of Black residents while staying physically active. Users can walk along one of four routes that will take them to various landmarks in Eugene to learn about local black history and the influence of black residents in the community.
Developers are working on a Spanish version of the app and will be looking to add new routes in the coming months.
