EUGENE, Ore. -- Temperatures on Thursday, Aug. 1, ranged from 88 to 93 with full sunshine, but a weak cool front will bring temperatures only in the low to middle 80s. That front will also bring light showers to the northern Oregon Coast and Portland Metro Area. The central Coast should remain dry as well as the southern Willamette Valley.

Another heat spell is on the way for this weekend. Temperatures are expected to be 5 to 10 degrees above normal. The normal temperature in Eugene is 84 degrees and in Roseburg is 86 degrees. Highs in Eugene will range from 89 to 94 from Saturday to Monday, and 90-96 in Roseburg. Sunday will be the hottest day of the weekend.

The heat streak of 90s is only expected to last 3 days, with temperatures falling back to 80 by Thursday with another weak front. Little to no moisture is expected at this time with that front.
