ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The pavilion at Stewart Park in Roseburg is getting some much-needed renovations this fall.
City staff said the pavilion has been around since the 1970s and has been a popular spot for the community. However, they said the building is starting to show its age.
“With this pavilion in particular and Stewart Park overall is such a great community asset,” said communication specialist Eric Johnson. “As a public entity, we want to be good stewards of the assets we have.”
They plan to replace the entire roof, install skylights, new lighting and remove the outdoor fire pits.
Demolition will start Monday and the project is expected to finish up by the end of the month.
