Springfield man pleads guilty to shipping marijuana inside Styrofoam rocks

Curran Manzer faces 20 years in prison.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The Springfield man accused of trying to ship marijuana out of the state in Styrofoam rocks has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Curran Manzer, 37, was arrested in November 2017 after an investigation.

Officers said they found 143 pounds of marijuana inside six pieces of Styrofoam textured and painted to look like rocks.

Manzer will be sentenced in February and faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
