Springfield Dutch Bros employee tests positive for coronavirus

The employee tested positive on June 27.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Dutch Bros Coffee has revealed that an employee in Springfield has tested positive for COVID-19.

An employee at the 222 S. 5th St. location took a COVID-19 test on June 27 and received a positive result the same day.

After learning of the result, the company said they would undergo a third-party deep clean before its next opening shift.

Prior to the positive test, the employee worked a morning shift on June 17 and midday shifts on June 18 and June 20. Dutch Bros Coffee learned of the positive result on June 27.

In a statement on their website, the company said they have taken steps over the last few months to prevent the spread of the virus. This includes increased handwashing and eliminating unnecessary touch points.
