Spring Clean Up event set for Saturday in Springfield

Springfield residents can do a little spring cleaning this weekend.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Springfield residents can do a little spring cleaning this weekend.

The city is holding it’s annual Spring Clean Up this Saturday.

You can drop off old freezers and refrigerators, scrap lumber, metal and other large or hard-to-recycle items. They won’t accept vehicles, paint, household garbage, chemicals, fluorescent lights, car parts, or oversized items like hot tubs and boats.

The event goes from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the 1600 block of B Street. It’s open only to Springfield residents.
