EUGENE, Ore. -- Lane Community College just launched a two-year energy management degree that students can complete all online.

KEZI spoke with Roger Ebbage, the coordinator with the program. He said this is the only two-year degree program in the Northwest that's offering building efficient energy education.

Ebbage said through their online courses, students will be able to learn how to evaluate energy use patterns, recommend energy efficiency techniques and other valuable skills in the field.

"Everyone needs energy management advice, school districts, state, federal, local government, private business, Lane Community College has an energy manager, the University of Oregon has an energy manager and as you can see with those examples there's a wide variety of applications for this information," Ebbage said.

Classes are already in session. The next time you can enroll is for the 2019 winter term.
