EUGENE, Ore. - The Bethel School District is offering their students multiple CTE programs throughout their schools.
Employers in Western Oregon have said they're losing qualified employees to retirement and struggling to find skilled replacements.

That's why KEZI is partnering with industry leaders in the "Skilled to Work" campaign.
KEZI spoke with staff at Willamette High School. They said more than 1,000 of their students participate in at least one of the handful of CTE programs offered at the school. They said students who are enrolled in CTE programs have higher graduation rates.
They said each program offers students a variety of valuable skills, gives them hands-on experience and develops a stronger work ethic.
"They can go from digital photography, as well as multimedia, we have a computer science program of study," said Dawn Delorefice, the assistant principal at Willamette High School. "We also have marketing and business, we have culinary, they were state champions this year, and we have early childhood education as well as a host of other programs of study."
Delorefice said the district is planning on implementing CTE programs in their middle school this upcoming school year.
