Albany schools reopen after norovirus outbreak

Administrators have confirmed that Greater Albany Public Schools will reopen Monday after a norovirus outbreak closed all of the district's schools last week.

ALBANY, Ore. -- Administrators have confirmed that Greater Albany Public Schools will reopen Monday after a norovirus outbreak closed all of the district's schools last week.

The stomach virus left hundreds of kids sick and some hospitalized -- experiencing symptoms like high fever, vomiting, and diarrhea.

According to administrators, the schools were completely sanitized over the week.

But if any students are still sick, they should stay home for 48 hours after symptoms end.
