Roseburg man facing drug charges

A search of his home reportedly turned up methamphetamine, heroin, illegal marijuana plants and guns.

ROSEBURG, Ore. – A 57-year-old Roseburg man accused of several drug-related crimes was arrested this week.

The Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) said detectives served a search warrant at Cory Whitehill’s home on the 200 block of Snowberry Road in Melrose.

Authorities reportedly found half a pound of apparent methamphetamine, about 22 grams of apparent heroin, 14 illegal marijuana plants beyond the legal limit and two firearms.

The arrest was made at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Whitehill was taken to the Douglas County Jail on charges of unlawful possession and delivery of meth, heroin and marijuana and two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
