ROSEBURG, Ore. -- First Interstate Bank's Roseburg branch is hosting their annual Coats and More Drive all throughout the month of November.

Representatives from the branch said they are looking for new and gently-used coats, mittens, sweaters, hats and other clothing items that keep kids warm.

All the clothing collected will be donated to the Foster Children’s Clothes Closet of Douglas County.

“You sometimes donate money to a larger organization, and you’re not sure where it goes,” said Charles Steinbach, president of the Roseburg bank. “When you come in here to donate to our clothes drive, you know it’s going to a kid somewhere here in Douglas County.”

More than 150 First Interstate Bank branches in the western part of the United States are also collecting clothing, including in Lane and Coos counties.

Steinbach said community members can drop clothing off during the weekdays at the branch on Garden Valley Boulevard.
