Robber targets market along Highway 58

Deputies are looking for a robber who threated employees with pepper spray Wednesday night.

EUGENE, Ore. – A market along Highway 58 was the target of a robbery on Wednesday night.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office said it happened just before 8:30 p.m. at Lee’s Highway 58 Market, located in the 34000 block of the highway.

A man reportedly threatened an employee with pepper spray and demanded cash from the till. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Deputies describe the suspect as white, between 30 and 40 years old and having a thin build. He is believed to have left the scene headed west toward Interstate 5 in an older sedan.
