COUGAR RESERVOIR, Ore. -- The road to Terwilliger Hotsprings and Cougar Campground is open to the public again after a rockslide closed the area last December.

Officials said they began work to clear the rocks and debris from the slide at the beginning of the week, and it only took about four days to clear everything.

It took about 800 dump truck loads to clear the debris.

The Willamette National Forest had to get permits to put the rocks into the reservoir, saving them time and money.

There is still work being done on Aufderheide Drive, which will cause traffic delays Mondays through Fridays throughout the fall.
