IDLEYLD PARK, Ore. -- A rescue operation is underway after a missing hiker was found alive near Diamond Lake.
Brandy Rose Molatore, 43, of Roseburg is being flown in a National Guard helicopter to a nearby airfield, where she will be taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center. She has no severe injuries but is dehydrated, family friends said.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Molatore went missing earlier this month while hiking the North Umpqua Trail. She was last heard from July 1. Molatore was reportedly 38 miles from her destination, Swift Water Park, but she never arrived.
Molatore was reported missing to the sheriff’s office Thursday evening.
