PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Officials say a Portland man was sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex crimes involving 11 victims, six of whom were minors.

Multnomah County District Attorney Rod Underhill says 37-year-old Thomas Oliver was sentenced Friday.

Oliver pleaded guilty in September to five counts of rape, three counts of sodomy, two counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct and sexual abuse and one count each of unlawful sexual penetration and attempted rape.

Underhill says some of the victims were acquaintances or friends of Oliver while others he met using Backpage.com and on a dating app. The crimes happened between 2007 and 2016.

Once he's released from the Oregon Department of Corrections, he'll be supervised for another 11 years.

Oliver has two prior arrests for patronizing a prostitute.
