SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Springfield Police are looking for suspects that have been pickpocketing customers at a popular chain restaurant over the last several months.

Police said from February 2017 to December there have been upwards of 10 thefts at the Panera Bread off of Gateway Street in Springfield.

They believe three men and one woman could be involved in the string of thefts. Police learned about the suspects when they used stolen credit cards at the Target and Safeway near Panera Bread to buy prepaid money cards.

Police said the four suspects work together to distract and steal from unsuspecting customers.

KEZI spoke to one customer who said it's unfortunate that this has been happening.

"It's concerning because they could take what you have,” said Ryan Trivett. “You have money in your pocket, your cell phone, keys and it could lead to bigger thefts in the future."

Police said the last reported theft was on December 29th. They think the suspects might be out of the area now. However, they are still asking for the public to contact them if they think they spot the suspects.

KEZI reached out to the Panera Bread manager. But she declined to comment on the matter.
