Police release sketch of Monroe burglary suspect

A Monroe man said he stopped a burglar in his tracks by shooting at him.

MONROE, Ore. - A Monroe man said he stopped a burglar in his tracks by shooting at him.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect.


They said the man was trying to steal bows and archery equipment from a vehicle on Old River road early October 16th.

The homeowner told police when he went outside, the suspect pointed a gun at him so he shot at the suspect.

Police describe the suspect as white, 6-feet-tall, with a weak chin.
