Police investigating fatal accident

Oregon State Police said it doesn't appear alcohol or drugs were a problem.

WALTON, Ore. -- Oregon State Police are investigating a fatal accident that happened on Highway 126 Friday evening. 

Police received the call about the single motor vehicle accident around 8 p.m. They said a male driver was traveling westbound in a Nissan Frontier and went off the road and hit a tree stump. He died at the scene. 

Police said it doesn't appear alcohol or drugs were a problem. 

Traffic was limited to one lane while crews worked to clear the scene.
