LEBANON, Ore. – A Lebanon man was arrested Thursday after police say he burglarized an area business and barricaded himself in a travel trailer.

James Georgelis, 36, of Lebanon is in the Linn County Jail.

Police responded to Cheadle Lake RV Storage, 4500 Weirich Drive, at about 10 a.m. after an employee reported that a man had entered the lot during non-business hours and was trying to get into multiple travel trailers.

Officers reviewed surveillance video, searched the property and found that Georgelis had barricaded himself in one of the travel trailers on site. The owner provided keys to the trailer, and police entered and arrested Georgelis.

In a search of the man’s backpack, police said they found tools reported stolen from Bender Mechanical Service, Inc., 37941 Weirich Drive, in a recent burglary.

Georgelis was arrested on parole violation charges and was later charged with two counts of second-degree criminal trespass, four counts of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree theft.
