Police said Benjamin Long Jr., 60, was driving an unloaded Koos Trucking vehicle southbound on Highway 101 when he tried to stop abruptly at the intersection with Koos Bay Boulevard and lost control of the truck.

No one was injured in the crash, but there was substantial property damage.
