CORVALLIS, Ore. – A Corvallis city councilor is accused of threatening to shoot and kill his brother-in-law.

Councilor Mark Page pleaded not guilty Monday to charges including unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, reckless endangering, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Police said they responded to a reported domestic dispute at Touchstone Place and 53rd Street in Corvallis Saturday night.

Officers said Page started a fight with his brother-in-law, Steven Robison, before picking up a gun.

Page is accused of chasing Robison around the driveway, yelling “I’m gonna kill you” and “I’m gonna put two in you tonight.” Police said children from both families watched the incident happen.

Page, who represents Ward 8 in the Corvallis City Council, was arrested and taken to jail.

City Manager Mark Shepard said Page’s arrest has no impact on his standing as a city councilor. Shepard said it is an issue for law enforcement and the courts.

Page will make his next court appearance Aug. 27 for a status check hearing.
